Along the Sound - the beginning

It is June 2026, and I decided to start a website for my future plans.

I will get into the details in other posts, but this first one is really just a starting point. I am probably anywhere from three to five years away from moving to the coast, but I already have a lot of thoughts about what that future could look like.

Rather than keeping all of those thoughts in a private journal, I wanted to put some of them here.

Part of the reason is simply to have something to look back on later. If everything works out, I think it will be interesting to see what I was thinking before the move actually happened.

The other reason is planning. I do not want to arrive at the coast and feel like I am starting from square one. I want to think through the areas, the lifestyle, the hobbies, the photography, the YouTube channel, the house, and the kind of retirement I am hoping to build.

So this is the beginning of Along the Sound.
