Port Chester has four elementary schools for approximately 2,400 students: Park Avenue School, Thomas A. Edison School, Kennedy Magnet School, King Street School. There is a Middle School for grades 6 to 8 and a separate campus for Port Chester Senior High School, which serves approximately 1,200 students in grades 9 through 12.  The district’s motto for its diverse, multi-cultural population is “success for every student.”  In 2003, the renowned Port Chester Marching Band traveled to the Orange Bowl in California and participated in the half-time show.
