The 90-year-old Pelham Picture House is currently undergoing a major renovation and expansion integrating the old and new.  It will house a 100-seat theatre and dedicated film education space for film literacy and film making.  Celebrities, including Michael Douglas, Sean Penn, Tom Cruise and George Clooney, have appeared at the Picture House in support of their new releases.

The Pelham Art Center provides five free art exhibitions yearly, 125 classes and workshops, and dozens of free weekend and evening programs for youth, seniors and families.  Pelham’s recreational opportunities include organized sports, children’s theatre, a community rowing association, biking paths and a summer concert series.

Pelham has two private clubs within its borders: the Pelham Country Club, which has an 18-hole golf course with pool and tennis, and the northern campus of the New York Athletic Club, which is located on the Sound.  The NYAC offers extensive programs for sailing, tennis, skeet shooting, and swimming.
