Petco is in Mamaroneck

Shopping for Your Pet

A big part of suburban life is taking care of your family and often that includes family members who have four legs or feathers. Shopping for them just got easier with the opening of the Petco on Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck opposite Trader Joe's. The store has opened in the site of the short-lived Duane Reade drug store.

Mamaroneck: New Home Design Store

Home Design in Mamaroneck

There is a new home design store called Green Earth Design in Mamaroneck on the Boston Post Road near Mamaroneck Harbor.  It features really unusual organic accessories and furniture for the home.  Some of the unusual items offered were beautiful mosaic tile benches tables and chairs in a variety of colors.  There are also resin-coated bowls, vases and wall art where organic materials such as seed pods are affixed to the base material and coated with color and a permanent resin.  Some of the more expensive items are tables formed from a type of petrified wood; they are unique and fabulous.  One of the store's owners, Mitchell Siegal, also offered that they will bring items to your home and help you with hanging and placement of the items.

Green Earth Design was formerly located in Greenwich; they also had stores in Southern California.  Stop by this unique store at 516 West Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck (914-835-6500) and put some organic design in your home!

Living in Mamaroneck Village

The Sunday Real Estate section of The New York Times featured a nice article on living in Mamaroneck Village. The article sketches a nice portrait of life in a multi-cultural and bustling Westchester town with many amenities along Long Island Sound. So don't just take our word for it, The New York Times gives Mamaroneck a thumbs up too!

Mamaroneck Harbor Fest, June 6th

The Mamaroneck Harbor Fest will take place on June 6th along Mamaroneck Avenue. The event will feature many vendors and artists.

The Mamaroneck Harbor Fest has sponsorship opportunities available for the 2010 festival. Returning to its roots Harbor Fest will be a one-day festival on Mamaroneck Avenue the first weekend in June this year. Beginning at 11:00 AM the festival will close at 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 6, 2010.

Sponsorships have enabled the festival to remain free to the public while providing marketing and sales opportunities for the sponsors. Drawing a crowd of more than 10,000 to the heart of the Village of Mamaroneck, the festival is a source of pride in the community with more than 100 volunteers helping to organize it each year.

Co-Chairs Jennifer Graziano and Len Verrastro have developed a sponsorship program with several levels of support to allow businesses of different sizes to participate. Sponsors gain valuable opportunities to promote their products or services in conjunction with this wonderful community festival.
