Sound Bites

Even if you have no flair for foreign language, you can still enjoy yourself at the celebration of Bastille Day in Larchmont on Larchmont Avenue between Boston Post Road and Addison Street on July 14th from 5 to 10 pm. The street will be closed and there will be a mini carnival to celebrate the French national holiday. There will be plenty of food and a jazz band will play music all evening. There are many French citizens in and near Larchmont, partly because of the success of the French-American School, which now has three locations in lower Westchester. Auray Gourmet relocated form Palmer Avenue to a new location on Larchmont Avenue several years ago and helped organize this event. Auray is an extremely popular place to gather for a light lunch or pick up some fabulous cheese for a party or any time you want to enjoy a delicious cheese. Don't miss out on the fun tonight! Visit the Flower Bar on Addison Street in Larchmont for a fabulous selection of fresh-cut flowers and plants. Don't forget the Friday special: 3 stems for $5. The selection dwindles as the day goes on, 10 AM is prime time.

Last night a fabulous time was had by all at the Watercolor Café in Larchmont.  After a delicious dinner, Aztec Two-Step performed live in concert.  What a blast from the past with all of their hit songs from the 70’s!  It was the perfect evening in an intimate setting with sumptuous food, great wine and fantastic music.  I can’t wait to go back! In the upcoming months, the Watercolor café will host performances by a variety of musical artists.
