Beginning in the south end along the water, you will find a mixture of new construction and older homes, alongside beach clubs and parks. Travel north to the bustling downtown.  At the New Rochelle train station you can catch a train to Manhattan (you’re only 28 minutes away from Grand Central) or jump on the Amtrak.  We suggest you stay put in downtown New Rochelle and experience the thriving restaurant scene, unique shops and the New Roc City entertainment complex with IMAX movie theaters, bowling alleys and neon-lit miniature golf!  The new Trump Condominiums provide a cosmopolitan feel.  Don’t skip the fine wine shops or the huge year-round farmer’s market.  You won’t be able to ignore the wonderful aroma from the handcrafted bread bakery.

The Sound Shore Medical Center delivers first-rate healthcare.  Continue north to the campus of Iona College in the Beechmont section, beautiful New Rochelle High School, past the historic Thomas Paine Museum and through the charming neighborhoods, the bucolic estate areas and the golf course at Wykagyl Country Club where many LPGA tournaments have been held.  Classic homes of architectural distinction, Tudors, Colonials and Victorians intermingle with mid-century neighborhoods giving New Rochelle something for every taste.
