New Rochelle School Districts - High Schools & Elementary Schools

Let's Learn

On seven separate occasions the New Rochelle School District received the prestigious Blue Ribbon Award from the US Department of Education.  The district is comprised of seven elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school.  Special features of Pre-K through 5th grade include the Barnard Early Learning Center for grades Pre-K through 2nd, as well as two other magnet programs: Science/Math/Technology at Columbus and Humanities/Arts at Webster.

All schools offer full-day kindergarten programs. The middle schools incorporate a “house” approach to create a supportive environment for adolescents.  New Rochelle High School offers over 240 courses, including honors, research, and AP courses within a Regents framework.  The campus, overlooking Twin Lakes, includes a planetarium, turf athletic fields, a pool and a new science and arts wing with a state-of-the-art theater for its performing arts curriculum.  Congratulations go to the NRHS Huguenots Varsity Football Team for a remarkable 2009 season and for gaining Section 1 and regional championship titles!
