Known as “The Queen City of the Sound,” New Rochelle offers a little bit of everything to its residents: suburban coastal living, a wide array of ethnic restaurants and a bustling downtown scene.  In addition, New Rochelle is the home of three colleges, a medical center and a major entertainment center.  The Trump Plaza development and two separate Avalon Bay apartment buildings are the centerpiece of downtown.  This contrasts with the grand old estates found in Paine Heights, Beechmont and Forest Heights.  With many public parks, beaches and private clubs, recreational opportunities abound in this culturally diverse community.
