Harbor Island Park is a 44-acre recreational area serving the Village of Mamaroneck. Rent a small boat to go out into the Sound or just enjoy a picnic on the sandy beach or lawn while you observe the bustling marina. There are sports fields and year-round tennis. In summer, the annual 4^th of July Fireman’s Parade and Carnival kicks off the summer season. In the fall, the antique car show and flea market attracts everyone in town!

The Hommocks Middle School campus houses an ice skating rink and several large indoor and outdoor pools for use by the entire Mamaroneck Town community. All town residents are eligible to sign up for children’s summer camp programs, which includes music camp. A wide variety of classes and programs ranging from yoga to golf are held year round by the Mamaroneck Recreational Department. In addition, there are extensive adult education courses offered through Mamaroneck High School with classes such as beginning italian, garden design and photography. The library and The University Club host interesting lectures by authors and journalists while raising funds for their college scholarship program.
